Bright Path Ceremonies

Debbie Belaus, Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant

Too much of a good thing is wonderful! Mae West

I am a Life Cycle Officiant and ordained minister. I received my Celebrancy diploma from the Celebrant Foundation and Institute in 2010. The Celebrant Foundation and Institute is a non-profict educational organization dedicated to training the highest quality Celebrants. Celebrants are a new kind of officiant, one who provides personalized ceremonies to individuals, couples, families and communities, no matter what their beliefs. The goal is always to reflect the clients beliefs, values, and traditions; the Celebrant’s own views are immaterial in this process.

I have always worked in areas through my sensitivity toward the public needs and specifically through relating to the general public on a nurturing, protective level. My life changing vocation as a celebrant came after practicing and teaching yoga and meditation for 35 years. I owned and managed a yoga studio from 2002 – 2010 giving me a strong background in business.

Steven Belaus-Ordained Minister, officiant, singer, song writer and musician

Love and only Love Will Endure, Neil Young

I joined Bright Path Ceremonies full time in 2016 after retiring from the corporate world of thirty eight years in International Business. My joy and passion are music, writing and performing as a guitarist and vocalist. I am an ordained minister trained in ceremonial writing and officiating. I'm also available to perform your musical preferences to compliment any type of ceremony or event. I have redirected by life, blending my background as an executive and public speaker, and musician into the Bright Path team.

We are highly trained in the art of ritual, ceremony, world and faith traditions, ceremonial writing, public speaking and presentation. We perform a wide variety of ceremonies: Marriage, commitment ceremonies, vow-renewal, funerals, memorials, baby blessings, and end of life pet ceremonies.

We are ordained ministers from the Universal Brotherhood Movement. We honor all religious and spiritual traditions. Our ministry follows the path of service and sharing in the great moment of humans lives-in birth, sickness, marriage and death, whether of crises or of celebration to bring comfort and a blessing.

We bring a lifetime of working well with others through our sense of calm and strong ability to organize. We bring the spirit and passion of artistic collaboration to our vocation as a Life Cycle Celebrant and Minister. We are a trusted guide with whom you can communicate your wishes and create memories worth cherishing.

Debbie and Steven perform ceremonies in Rhode Island, Central Connecticut, and Southern Massachusetts.
